Australian sealions are exceptionally playful and curious creatures, and a pleasure to dive with. You get more attention if you are carrying something reflective or doing something out of the ordinary. This curious sealion approached me because I was somersaulting under the water and it could see its reflection in my camera lens.

The shallow waters around this colony deter predators hence leaving the sealions safe with nothing to do except fish, play and bask in the sun. What a life!
